Abhiram Potturu

Hi. My name is Abhiram Potturu. I am a healthcare administration major in the Dual DO program. I also have a minor in experiential leadership, pre-health, and honors. I’ve been on the dean’s list several times throughout my undergraduate career.

I also place a huge emphasis on research. I wrote a literature review on how herbal plants can serve as a remedy for ADHD. I’ve done research where I sequenced my own nucleotide and it’s been published in the NCBI database. I will be pursuing cancer research next semester.

In the future, I aspire to be a trauma surgeon or a plastic surgeon. I’m interested in traveling around the world as a travel doctor. This way I can combine my three passions: medicine, travel and photography. During my future trips, I’d like to take pictures and videos to create informational videos everywhere I go. I can do voice overs in English and the country’s native language, so they can understand the message. By doing so, we can educate the public on disease prevention and treatment. I’d also love to open several clinics in the future.
