Global Medical Researcher

Since I was a child, I have always been aware of the great difference between my city´s (Lima) life quality and the rest of Peru ;however, I was not aware of how serious the situation was. This changed in a summer when my mother showed me the harsh reality near my neighborhood. She took me to the famous "Wall of Shame," a 10-kilometer-long wall that separates one of the richest areas of the country, from a neighborhood with no basic services such as electricity or water. That was an eye-opening experience that guided my future academic and professional decisions.

Thus, I decided to study Industrial Engineering, a career that applies methodologies to achieve optimal productivity while generating the minimum socio-environmental impact, at the University of Lima, an institution committed to the fulfillment of the SDGs. Later, I worked at Minsur, a mining company with the highest sustainability standards worldwide. Here, together with the HR and IT teams, I carried out cultural and digital transformation and sustainability for Peru and Brazil and, thanks to this, I was represented my university in the CADE 2021 forum, an international event that discussed how to solve the major socio economic problems of the country.

In the last few months, I´ve been doing a specialization in Sustainable Finance at the USP Madrid in Spain and I published and presented my scientific article about Peruvian Fintech industry in the 11th International Conference on Industrial Technology and Management 2022 in Oxford, UK.
